The following letter was sent out to members of the community where this work will take place:

"In recent months, a district contractor has been working in your area to complete an extensive water pipeline replacement project, mostly on Winter Haven Rd.  We thank you for your patience as the work took place, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused by road closures and construction sites.  The project is now complete, and the district is in the planning phase for a future replacement project on Alta Vista Dr. to the south of the intersection of Winterwarm Dr. and Alta Vista Dr.

Unfortunately, as many residents in the area have observed, unforeseen conditions on some sections of pipeline in this area have led to leaks, unplanned water outages and repeated repairs by district crews. Due to the urgency caused by these unforeseen conditions, staff has decided to expedite replacement of the most critical areas to maintain reliable water service.  In the coming days, district crews will be installing two temporary above-ground water lines (high lines) being fed by hydrants on Alta Vista Dr. This configuration will allow district crews to remove and replace the failing water main with minimal disruptions of water service. Staff will also be adding an air-release valve near the intersection of Winterwarm Dr. and Alta Vista Dr. to alleviate issues  with air in the lines that have been brought to our attention.

If you have any questions about the scheduled work, please feel free to contact us. Once again, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we mobilize the staff and materials to make these repairs."
