With occasional street closures on Brandon, construction crews on Brandon & Alvarado thru Nov; construction is 1 month ahead of schedule

In the final stages of construction, crews will be moving up and down Brandon and Alvarado doing "tie-ins" for the sewer pipeline replacement project, The County has authorized temporary closure of Brandon Rd due to tight road conditions there. There could be more closures. Check this website for updates. The project, which began in September, is one month ahead of schedule. The project is set to go through early December.

The aging pipes, laid in the early 1950s, are now undersized and in need of replacement. They are part of the original sewer system for the downtown village. The water and sewer service of the business owners have not been affected during construction.
