Agriculture Programs

FPUD offers two programs for commercial agricultural properties. Requirements include a completed application, a backflow device installed at the meter and other program specific conditions. Please reference the pages below for more information.

Special Agricultural Water Rate (SAWR)

This agricultural water program, offered by the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) and administered locally by FPUD provides a reduced water rate for agricultural water users, in exchange for a binding agreement that water service at this rate may be reduced during drought cutbacks, as determined by the Metropolitan Water District of Los Angeles (MWD) and the SDCWA. Commercial Agricultural Water Program

The Commercial Agricultural Water Program offers a discounted water rate to commercial farmers with agricultural production on at least one acre of land.
