FPUD not affected by San Diego County Water Authority violation
On Monday, July 8, the San Diego County Water Authority posted a news update about a water quality violation resulting from a treatment process failure at the Authority’s Twin Oaks Valley Water Treatment Plant on April 21-22, 2019. This Plant serves treated water to several member agencies in the San Diego region, but not FPUD. This water quality violation requires written notification to affected customers from member agencies who distributed treated water from the Plant during this time period. FPUD DID NOT utilize any treated water from the Plant during this period, so there is no need to notify our customers of this water quality violation. Though not impacting our customers, further information about this water quality violation and notification to impacted water agencies can be found HERE. (link: http://www.sdcwa.org/water-quality)
